1. Global Code of Conduct & Ethics (“COCE”)

Our Global Code of Conduct & Ethics (“COCE”) was adopted by CFAO Equipment during 2022. COCE is not simply a corporate policy but is the cornerstone of our behavior and fundamental corporate philosophy of living and prospering together with people, society and the earth, whilst striving for open and fair corporate activities.

COCE sets out 10 key principles which emphasize our commitment to adhere to the highest possible standards of safety and cooperate ethics, and which direct our corporate philosophy and guide our behavior.

The 10 COCE Creeds are as follows:

  1. We are committed to “ANZEN” to create a safe and healthy work environment
  2. We will comply with all applicable laws and regulations; including anti-corruption, anti-trust and competition law, and trade laws and regulations.
  3. We are committed to accurate financial reporting.
  4. We are accountable for compliance with all company rules.
  5. We will act with integrity, honesty and transparency, and protect and develop trust among all stakeholders.
  6. We will contribute to the sustainable development of society.
  7. We will promote and pursue environmentally friendly corporate activities.
  8. We will add value through innovation and “KAIZEN” (continuous improvement).
  9. We will respect human rights.
  10. We will embrace diversity and inclusion within our company and society.

2. The Anti-corruption Code of Conduct

We adopted our Anti-corruption Code of Conduct in early 2023. This policy aims to fortify and supplement the ten Creeds subscribed to in our Code of Conduct & Ethics.

CFAO Equipment has a zero tolerance stance towards bribery and corruption (and other practices akin to corruption) and is committed to upholding the highest standards of integrity and ethical behaviour in all its business dealings.

The purpose if this policy is to strengthen the prevention of corruption risks and reinforce our commitment to fighting corruption.

3. “SPEAK UP”

Through NAVEX, and with effect from 1 April 2023, we subscribe to an independently operated and dedicated whistleblowing system call “Speak UP”. We encourage our internal and external stakeholders to support us by making a report and alerting us to concerns regarding corruption, fraud, bribery, and any other unethical practices relative to our business, suppliers and customers.

SPEAK UP is available to receive reports confidentially with the option of complete anonymity.

SPEAK UP does not deal with human resource grievances or customer and supplier queries, which should be escalated through our own internal channels.
